Just a little glimpse into our family. Two busy, little boys, who always keep us on our toes and never cease to provide a little comic relief in a life that is truly blessed.
Here's a little conversation Sam and I had at dinner tonight:
Sam: Is Zak a man? Mom: No, he's a little boy. Sam: Am I a man? Mom: No, you're a little boy too. Sam: Are you a man? Mom: No, I'm not a man. What am I? Sam: You're a ma'am.
It was our third year at the annual Fire Fighter Picnic. The weather was hot and the food was plentiful! We met up with friends and headed for the games.
Dad teaching Sam the finer points of golf.
Sam's a pretty good little pitcher -- only the occasional wild pitch!
Zak excelled with the corn popper!
Sam and his buddies, Ben and Andrew.
Clowning around with Ben -- and Sam is eating another hot dog!
Now that's it's cooled down to the 90's -- the boys were able to spend a little time outside in the pool. Zak wasn't thrilled with Sam's splashing -- but he'll just have to get used to it!
It is hot here -- really hot. Today it was 105 degrees and tomorrow is supposed to be 107 degrees. It is unbearable in our house, so the boys and I decided to stay out and about as long as we could -- we even gave up Zak's naps -- we were that desperate!
After breakfast on the back deck -- it was probably 80 degrees -- but it still felt better outside -- we headed for Cafe Sip-N-Play.
Zak loved climbing all over everything.
Sam built a house.
Playing with fun toys.
The train table was a favorite.
Then it was on to Target (just trying to go places that had air conditioning!). Sam received a gift card for his birthday, so he decided it was time to use it. He bought a new Lego set and the Veggie Tales Jonah DVD.
We headed home for lunch and stayed there for two hours -- but that's all we could take. We headed back to Cafe Sip-N-Play for a while and then it was off to the mall to walk around, buy Sam some more sleeveless t-shirts and dinner.
Sam loves the ice cream truck -- a little funny since he doesn't eat ice cream!
I am a Mom to two boys. Sam is six and Zak is three years old. Every day is an adventure with these two! Thankfully, I have a great husband, Matthew, who joins me in the adventure that is our life.
